Know Your Status
The 2017 Campaign
This year marks the fourth year that Regional Testing Day has been promoted using the RU+UR- theme. When it was launched in 2014, the jingle became an immediate hit. We asked for Caribbean people of all walks of life to join our LIVE UP Charity by helping to mobilise people throughout the region to come out and be tested.
A Permanent Fixture
Regional HIV Testing Day (RTD) has become a permanent fixture on the calendar of Caribbean countries. Ten years ago. the first RTD campaign which offered free HIV testing in a handful of countries has expanded and each year has seen more people coming forward to "Know their status".
LIVE UP: The Caribbean Media Alliance is collaborating with the Pan Caribbean Partnership against HIV and AIDS (PANCAP) and Scotiabank, in 21 Caribbean territories, in promoting Regional HIV Testing Day June 30, 2017. In many countries testing sites are open before the official testing day, therefore you should check the testing dates and locations for your country on our Testing Sites page.
The overarching objective of this annual initiative now in its 10th year is to heighten public awareness on the critical importance of voluntary counseling and testing in preventing the spread of HIV infection and to mobilize the population in general to be tested.
